Serving the Community I Call Home
Use of military rank, job titles, photographs in uniform, and/or military service does not imply endorsement by the Department of Defense or the United States Marine Corps.
In 1999, I joined the United States Marine Corps, a decision that would bring me to Havelock, North Carolina, and ultimately change the course of my life. I came to Havelock because of Cherry Point, but over the years, this community became much more than a duty station—it became home.
I met my wife when we were in middle school, and we were married in May of 2000. Twenty-six years, four children, and countless memories later, Havelock is where we have built our family, our relationships, and our lives.
Throughout the years, I have had the privilege of serving this community in many different ways. My involvement has included serving in ministry through our local church, participating on community boards and committees, and helping organize and lead events that bring our community together.
I have served on the Havelock Christmas Parade Committee and directed the Military Family Appreciation Day event. I have also had the honor of serving as Master of Ceremonies for National Night Out on multiple occasions, as well as for Havelock's Fourth of July fireworks celebration.
These experiences have given me an appreciation for the people who make Havelock what it is. I have seen firsthand the value that exists in this community—the families, businesses, military personnel, churches, volunteers, and organizations that all contribute to making Havelock a special place to call home.
I believe Havelock has a bright future, and I want to be part of helping our community move forward. My commitment is rooted in stewardship and accountability—being responsible with what our community has entrusted to us and being accountable to the people we serve.
After more than two decades of calling Havelock home, I am grateful for the opportunity to give back to the community that has given so much to my family.
I see the value in Havelock, and I believe our best days are still ahead.
